Joe Chebonkeng, like his predecessor Peter Essoka to the North West; journalists will be sactioned.

The President of the National communication council, Joe Chebonkeng kalabubse has emphasized that, the national communication council will not hesitate to sanction Journalists who fail to respect the Norms of the profession. He was speaking in Bamenda Tuesday August 24th of August 2021 during a working session with press men and women of the Northwest region. He urged Journalists to use the social media not as a source, but to share a tip of information, because citizen journalism is on the rise which is causing misinformation,disinformation and the propagation of hate speech. Joe chebongkeng reiterated that fact checking and balancing reports will go a long way to place Journalists on a save side, since they are in the midst of the ongoing socio political crises. Former Ambazonian activist, Dr. Santos Nguh termed impostor by John Ngu Foncha's family.

The family of former Prime minister of Southern Cameroons, Dr John Ngu Foncha has issued a disclaimer on one Dr. Santos Nicholas Nguh who is campaigning for the post of section president of the CPDM in the United States of America. The family of Dr John Ngu Foncha says ,Dr Santos is an impostor and he is not the grand son of the Foncha's family as he is claiming. The family has threatened legal actions against Dr. Santos Nicholas Nguh if he continues with the pronouncement that he is the grand son of Dr. John Ngu Foncha. In a disclaimer which makatinews has a copy, Barrister Valentine Ngu on behalf of the Foncha's family has requested Dr. Santos Nicholas Nguh to cease and desist from making any filial claims. Gun men who have  been giving sleepless nights to the population of Bamenda especially those of Bamenda 3, have intensified their activities in the city, four days after the military said , it killed five leaders of alleged separatists who are responsible for the kidnappings and intimations in the city. In an operation Saturday night August 21st 2021 at Ghana street,  ten heavily armed men picked up one Fobi Vincent Sama, nephew to Hon Chinda Fobi Simon, former MP for Bamenda-Bali. At the time of the incident, Fobi Sama was beside Nfuh house at Ghana street where he went to purchase an item from a shop.   It would appear the armed men had been monitoring him all day and had to settle on him that evening. Bamenda: pregnant lady who was killed,is buried same day and same village with killer.

The remains of Madam Odette who hails from Mejung village in Boyo division, and that of the president of Mejung youths in Bamenda have all been buried. The burial took place this weekend Saturday August 20th 2021 in Mejung village after the removal of the corpses from the Bamenda mortuary. The two were shot and killed by gunmen on the night of August 7th 2021 at A2 street Bamenda in a bar. On the night of August 7th, gunmen on a motor bike had stormed the bar, took the owner who is husband to Odette, in an attempt to grip one of the armed men, and intervention from his wife and brother, they were gunned down. The husband fundly called Doctor, survived bullets wounds on his arm. While in the funeral, traditional rites were performed and a curse placed on those responsible. Kumbo:School child buried with a curse on killers.

The pupil of Saint Theresa Catholic primary School kumbo, Bui division of the North West of Cameroon has been buried. She was buried Saturday August 20th 2021 in Kumbo. During the burial, traditional rites aimed at targeting her killers were performed. The girl child was attending holiday classes organized by the primary school to catch up with some lessons that were never taught during the just ended academic year 2020/2021. Reports say government forces invaded the academic environment Friday August 19th 2021 and opened fire killing the pupil, while other kids sustained injuries as they ran for safety. Bamenda III Mayor prescribes football as panacea to stress.

Fonguh Cletus Tanwi, Mayor of Bamenda III Council ,Mezam division of the North West region has prescribed sports and leisure as a means of weeding out stress and fatigue in a crisis situation. Anglophone crisis: Sabga-Ndop road blocked again.

Passengers and transporters over the weekend were excited to have received the good news, that the stretch of road from Sabga to Ndop in Ngoketunja division was opened for the circulation of vehicles. Unfortunately it was for a short while .The road again was blocked Monday August 16th 2021. The invisible blockage was announced by separatist fighters in Ndop last two weeks, in solidarity with their colleagues in Bambui, and to an extent what they say is equally to oppose the arrest of General No pity's family, a secessionist general in Bambalang -Ndop. Drivers who ply the stretch of road have revealed to makatinews that, the road is opened only on weekends and closed on weekdays. Those who were fortunate on Saturday and Sunday were those who were able to rush to Bemenda and carry out their transactions. Others may only be able to do that Saturday and Sunday again. Anglophone crisis: Bambui-Fundong road blocks; governor's call for circulation falls on deaf ears.

The Bambui -Fundong stretch of road for two weeks now has not been passable despite an appeal from North West governor for circulation. The situation has left many people frustrated as they are forced to trek long distances before getting to their destinations. Patients are unable to get access to medical facilities in Mbingo Baptist hospital in Boyo division and in Tubah district hospital for those in Babanki.. Talking to makatinews, Mr Awah Cletus, a passenger narrated a sad experience he witnessed on the way as he trekked i Belo in Boyo division to Bambui in Mezam. CPDM launches reorganisation under tied security

The cpdm party on Saturday 14th August 2021 launched the reorganisation of basic organs of the party in the North West region. Heavy presence of security forces and armour cars characterized the scene of the event at the Bamenda congress hall. Prior to the meeting on Saturday 14th of August, several neighborhoods in the city of Bamenda closed to the Bamenda congress hall were under search operation by security forces and many young people arrested. This was to secured the smooth holding of the launch at the congress hall. Former prime minister Philemon Yang who is the permanent coordinator of the CPDM party for the North West region presided over the launch, while calling on party aspirants of the grassroot elections to strictly respect party laws. Abakwa Boys Amputees FC, champions of the just ended first edition of the National Amputees tournament have said financial difficulties is their greatest obstacle as players of the team eye the November 2021 Africa Amputees Championship if selected with the national team, to be hosted by Tanzania. They were speaking during a press outing Wednesday August 11th,at the CBC head office in Bamenda to present their coveted trophy to the public. Bamenda: Gunmen shatter legs of a young man.

The inhabitants of round-devoux quarter in Bamemda 2 sub division,mezam division was surprised to witness a scene so terrifying on Wednesday 11th of August 2021. Inhabitants told makatinews that, gunmen on a motorbike brought a young man, pulled him down ,then fired gun shots on his legs,then abandoned him and left. The population is said to have come for his rescue and took him to the hospital. The young man had pleaded with the crowd to take him but to gendarmerie brigade. Other sources revealed to makatinews that, the young man was brought and shot on legs by alleged separatists fighters. Reasons being that he is accused of working with the security forces to point bases of amba fighters. Amba war :Fake Amba boy, picked up by Amba fighters in Bamenda

Reports from Ngongham neighborhood in Bamenda 2, says three young men passing for amba fighters were picked up by alleged amba fighters over the weekend of August 7th 2021. The three we learned have been terrorising the city, kidnapping for ransom and asking people for support. A resident of Ngongham quarter revealed to makatynews that, news about the fake boys got to the ears of the real amba fighters and they stormed the area where the young men were living, shot two of them and took one with them. A video has also gone viral in which one of the guys taken by the amba fighters ,is heard confessing and revealing how they have been collecting cell phones and millions from people in the city of Bamenda in the name of the struggle. Broad daylight kidnap closed shops in Bamenda

As the Anglophone crisis persist, Shops at Mobile Nkwen yesterday August 11th 2021, had to shut their doors by 4pm following series of gun shots and kidnap of persons around the area. Eyewitnesses revealed to makatynews that,gun men attacked a famous snack bar at Mobile Nkwen call BINAM BAR, and in the absence of the owner, the chief security officer by name Dudu was picked up. BINAM bar is accused of selling and supplying Brasserie drinks being considered contraband drinks by separatist fighters. Other sources equally revealed that, the owner of BINAM bar was hit on the head several times with a gun and he is in the hospital. The gunmen did not recognize him as owner of the bar at the time of attack. Bamenda 3 sub division considered as one of the safer areas in the Bamenda municipality has become more dangerous these days,given that separatists have and had warned and declared hard times to all who are selling Brasserie drinks in the sub division.
